Held at the Boonville Fairgrounds, this annual gathering is a must-visit for everyone from professional loggers to those who simply enjoy cutting firewood on the weekends.

Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, Boonville is the ideal location for this celebration. Just an hour's drive from Syracuse, Utica, or Old Forge, the town's rich logging history and central location make it the perfect host for this prestigious event.

Founded in 1948 by the Rev. Frank Reed, the NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days has grown into one of the premier lumberjack competitions in the United States. With the help of over 400 volunteers, the event draws contestants from as far away as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Over the course of the weekend, attendees can witness thrilling woodsmen’s contests, marvel at chainsaw carving demonstrations, and explore hundreds of forestry-related displays.
