NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days Returns

BOONVILLE, NY – Officials of the NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days, Inc., are proud to announce that the NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days will return to Boonville, NY this summer.

Rain or shine, the 75th NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days will be held on August 19, 20 & 21, 2022 at the Boonville Oneida County Fairgrounds. Billed as one of the largest forest industry trade shows in the northeast, the event was forced to close in 2020 due to the pandemic that crippled businesses, gatherings, and everyday life.

In 2021, officials were hoping that the COVID virus would ease in spreading. However, the event had to remain closed due to a number of variables. Spacing requirements and mask mandates were not lifted In a timely manner by (past) Governor Andrew Cuomo. Vaccination numbers were not where they needed to be and mass gatherings were still questionable in the spring of 2021. Additional problems went on to haunt the months of planning needed to organize the event. Travel constraints restrained contestants and exhibitors that attend the show from Canada to participate. Also, many of the forest Industry exhibitors were unable to acquire the huge amounts of Inventory needed to attend, display and sell their products and equipment in Boonville.
